29th July 2018
Sadly, the 29th July 2018 will be our last day at the Tearoom.

Today is not about me. I feel for our staff who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. I feel for all our customers who have lost somewhere they could sit, chat, relax and hopefully feel valued.
I’m sorry but I can’t say much more at the moment, but I thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart that has taken time to visit the tearoom to personally wish us all the best, those of you that took the time to sign the petition and to those of you that took time to add such special comments to the Worthing Herald and our Facebook page. I could not have wished for better people to call my friends. A special thank you goes out to our four-legged friends for bringing in their owners each week.

We want to make our closing weekend something special. We will all be putting our heads together to come up with some idea’s. All suggestions welcome!

We will keep you updated.

Tearoom Update (3rd July 2018)
I’ll keep it short and sweet. We have been advised that we will be able to continue trading until the 18th July 2018. We are pushing for longer. We will keep you updated. Once again thank you all for your wonderful support.

Tearoom Update (30th June 2018)
Sadly, it is looking as though we have lost the battle with our landlord.
We are now waiting for clarification on a couple of issues, we believe we will have this on Monday.
In view of this we will now be open Monday 2nd July. As soon as we have received clarification on Monday we will update you again.
From the bottom of my heart I thank you all, the support we have received has been incredible.

Highdown tearooms closure update (27th June 2018)
Thank you everybody who has offered their support following the letter we received last Friday (22nd June 2018) regarding the termination of our tenancy at the tearooms.
We have sought legal advice, and our solicitor’s Wannops LLP are challenging points in the letter received.
We hope that we will be in a much clearer position by Monday 2nd July. We will update our website and Facebook page once we have some news.
We thank Wannops LLP for their assistance but more so thank all of our staff and customers for the kind words and understanding at this difficult time. The response we have received is truly overwhelming.

Thank you
